1. Agreement to terms
By accessing or using TapReceipts ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of service
TapReceipts provides a digital receipt platform that allows merchants to send receipts to customers via NFC tap technology, and allows customers to store, view, download, and export those receipts. TapReceipts is not a payment processor and does not handle payment transactions.
3. Accounts
To use certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when registering.
4. Merchant responsibilities
Merchants using TapReceipts agree to:
- Provide accurate transaction and receipt information
- Use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws
- Take responsibility for the accuracy of receipts issued to their customers
- Keep their integration credentials and API keys secure
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or other users' data
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Misuse, copy, or resell the Service without permission
6. Fees and payment
Merchant subscription fees and setup fees are as described on our pricing page. Fees are billed in advance. You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Setup fees are non-refundable once setup work has begun.
7. Service availability
We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time. We are not liable for any loss resulting from downtime or service interruptions.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TapReceipts is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost data, lost profits, or business interruption. As TapReceipts is not a payment processor, we are not responsible for the accuracy of underlying transactions or any disputes between merchants and customers.
9. Intellectual property
All content, branding, and technology associated with TapReceipts remain our property. You may not use our branding or content without permission.
10. Dispute resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the Service will first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes will be referred to arbitration in South Africa in accordance with the rules of the Arbitration Foundation of Southern Africa (AFSA), before resorting to litigation.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated terms.
